Tahitian Name: Iotua (”Yo Two Ah”)
Iotua’s time learning Polynesian Drumming comes from several visits to the Pacific. His first teacher was with Vili from the island of Tonga. He was the former Drum Master of the Polynesian Cultural Center on Oahu. Over the next several years Josh has spent time with his master Chief Punetai of the Papetoai Village on the Tahitian Island of Moorea. Iotua has also spent time with Robert Aka, Drum maker and musician in PaoPao, Moorea. Recently, Iotua has been in collaboration with Te Benioni; Music Manager of Tihati Productions on the Big Island of Hawaii.
He has been performing with the Grace Hula Dance and Company for 3 years now, traveling in neighboring States with them .
